Chapter 23

Stop your whining.
Even the most intense storm ends eventually;
in fact the strongest storms are brief.
Their origin is the relation of sky and earth.
If they can’t go on forever
neither can you.
So just do your daily tasks
embodying the Tao in yourself.
Allow yourself to experience the power of loss
as well as the power of aspiration.
You can do this by allowing yourself 
to find your identity with Tao and Te.
What won’t fail you is directness and honesty.
