One of the most emotionally
and spiritually devastating manifestations found in Life is that of unresolved,
unexpressed personal Basic Anger. Ironically, the other is Anger that knows
no bounds whatsoever in expression! Listen. We’ve all known both to wreak
havoc. Now, we’ve each been raised with various notions of what anger constitutes
and what is to be done with it, yet strangely enough, they often seem to
fall roughly into but these two categories nonetheless, leading to the
notion you’re damned if you do, and damned if you don’t… Keep it inside
you and you may implode. Let it out, and you can devastate those around
you.
Anger is not commonly seen as ‘civilized’, wholesome,
nor acceptable – not to possess, let alone express (except in wartime,
wot?). Rather, repression is usually encouraged. Think how deeply this
notion is embedded. It’s the ‘Illegal Emotion’, and so, much like the Black
Market it runs rampant when left to its own devices. We’ve been taught
that it’s not polite, not “nice”, that we ought turn the other cheek, or
that it’s in fact Evil. Yet I’ve found that Anger, within our individual
universes, is and can be a necessary and productive personal reaction –
so long as we realize what the true source is (“count to ten” slowly, not
to swallow it, but to find it!). Psychologically, it’s as helpful and needful
as the fight-flight reaction of our body’s auto-system. Yet, we also possess
intellect as the Great Intermediary! Sometimes, we simply need to ‘sit
with it’, as it signals something is wrong and needs attention. That “something”
is up to us to determine and evaluate, yet can sometimes be a life’s journey
if it’s been sequestered. So, how one works it out is the crux; it can
be a guided missile aimed at someone’s being, as it often has been…or it
can be a thunderstorm of release, sending positive ions into the atmosphere.
Homeopathy, and even the old “Booster Shot” introduce
a bit of ‘poison’ into the system to kick-start a healthy reaction by the
body. Personally, I’ve used the analogy that Digitalis, Nitro-glycerin,
and Strychnine are indeed volatile, deadly elements, yet used judiciously
and in the correct measure, they can indeed be life saving. They’re catalysts.
In fact, they’re all remedies for Heart Trouble…

Perhaps,
we must first embrace our Humanity ~
before we can let it go,
transcend it,
to reach something higher…
Perhaps only then
can we take the step,
knowing fully what we may relinquish ~
Yet also…
how much we’ve to gain.
