It is a deeper wisdom
that teaches us this; that there will be times, inspite of our best efforts,
in the midst of a challenging Life Encounter, when it may elude us to remember
that we ever once felt peace, when we arrived at and savoured a place within
that the world could not touch - when our spirit, courage, imagination,
and vitality were truly something to be reckoned with. It may seem to disappear,
vanishing into nothingness, like the mist of the Dawn, like the memory
of a dream… and it leaves us feeling foolish for ever having believed that
we were once whole and complete, now lacking what was then a certain strength.
It is said that we are not prevented from encountering
such dark nights of the soul, but that we are guided through by a hand
we may not readily see. Sometimes, there simply are no detours. But working
our way through these, the hardest parts of our journeys is no small feat.
We would do well to contemplate, in a quiet moment which we need to give
ourselves permission to take despite all else, that these roadblocks and
obstacles lead us to the very Wellspring of the strength we are imbued
with. It simply cannot be endowed nor appreciated as much at any other
time, and under no other circumstances…
We shine in the darkness though we may feel very dim indeed,
though we cannot see any light before us. Yet that place, that haven that
we most sorely crave, is indeed within us. Although the peace that we once
felt seemingly eludes us, it is real, as real as we allow it to be, inasmuch
as we’d previously admitted it in under better circumstances.
Peace however, is not a substitute for pain. It is not
an ‘instant cure’ for our heartaches, such as world outside would lead
us to believe we are entitled to and deserving of. Within its design lies
the necessary push, to give birth to more profound insights, new understanding,
a new reality. In our deepest sadness, we may tend to doubt and mock its
vitality. But it can be (if we allow the room to remember it) something
that keeps us company, like a good friend who listens well, yet knows that
the answers we seek may only come with Time.

of the shell that encloses your understanding. - Kahlil Gibran
Indigo ~
The depth of the soul;
The weight of tears,
the ache of waiting…
Indigo ~
The colour of Forever,
just before The Dawn,
when light cannot come
quickly enough -
When the very stars themselves
fade.
Naked in this moment stand I,
before The Universe Itself;
with such unspeakable longing
for the Knowing I am without.
Indigo ~
Is Deep,
and High
- in fact,
the shortest distance
Light must travel;
Chakra colour
of Understanding,
Intuition…
and Integrity.
Indigo ~
As pure in simplicity
as each breath
I must take…
As complex as the process
of breathing…
Let me trust in it.
