Oh, my dear fellow
travelers... if I could but pass on this one thing, like a dying person
to their next of kin; We’ve often heard the expression “You get what you
pay for.” Nothing is for free. And Freedom carries its own price. Yet,
it’s as accessible as it is hard-won. So, this does not mean that paying
should at all be equated with ‘suffering’ - yet sometimes, it seems that
way, for when we give away our own power, and rely on someone else for
theirs, this is what one is often left with. There is, of course, a time
to ask for and accept help. Yet, the knowledge is not yours while
you choose to deny your own gifts - it can only be borrowed for a time.
Yes, it can be a guide, but it is not yours until you know it. The
shattering of this ‘ready’ illusion often hurts, especially when one is
already in pain, and need. It is the breaking of the seed that allows new
life to come forth.
Yours is still the way to know, through your own heart…
and the best teachers you find will teach Courage.
Now, there’s a difference between looking for avenues,
and handing someone else the roadmap… There’s a difference between holding
the map yourself while asking for direction, and letting someone else plot
your course for you. When asking for directions, you’re perfectly allowed
to question them - but all too often, we do not. This is forgivable, and
yet…
…No one knows the true path that you are meant to head
into but you, and it’s yours to discover, endlessly… If a given
‘guide’ is truly wise and loving, they would ask you where exactly
it is that you wish to go. And even if you tell them, they cannot ride
the journey for you… They might also, if wise, ask where you have been,
and you should be honest in replying. And if secrets that were once well
kept should be relevant, you can tell them with integrity, and without
shame. But do not give away the sacred power in their telling - it is yours…
for they are noble battle scars, Cairns, marks of honour. Not so much to
seek remedy for, but to acknowledge with acceptance.
If you are ‘lost’, look to but these two things of someone
who would be your guide. And follow no one who would lead you other than
to your own Truth… For we all hold a worthy piece of it.

can replace
all trust that’s felt,
and faith once gained ~
We’re not the sum
of our mistakes;
But what we learn
from day to day…
