Long have
debates raged over what power is wielded by Angels and Demons in our lives
- benign forces…evil influences, all leaving us at their mercy and whims.
Some of us are never sure, treading lightly, full of fear and trepidation,
and some others entirely TOO sure! - readily blaming every untoward event
on the latter. Here it should go without saying that as we (hopefully)
grow in awareness, all we can truly determine is that there lies more “between
Heaven and Earth” than we can possibly comprehend. Yet it appears that
in our attempts to understand, or rather to justify earthly concerns, we’ve
often been inclined to put things into finite Black & White formats
and concepts…
A child crawls until he learns to walk. And when walking
no longer suffices, he learns to run. Oh, what joy! Until he falls - and
what will he blame it on…He doesn’t! He cries for the pain and shock, but
it won’t likely stop him from trying again… And here we are, thinking WE
are the ones to grant the worthy lessons!
So it’s rather funny you know, that as supposedly mature
adults, we so often tend to put thing into such convenient and narrow summations
of simplicity. Good and Evil. Accomplishments versus Mistakes… Some ‘justifiable’
emotion, teaching, or experience that we cling to which keeps us from running.
And we inevitably tend to pass that message along, as it has been passed
on to us. Whatever one’s concept of God is, benign or feared, Universally
or individually disposed, it inevitably colours our perception of what
constitutes the “fortunate or unfortunate” in our lives. So it is that
often we miss the inherent lessons, the gift of learning, the value of
our experiences…and the evolving compassion needed for this journey - For
ourselves, as well as our fellow travellers…
~There are many signs
along the way. But one must first know how to read…
Angels are those you
run into when you need them the most, even when you have no idea what is
it that you need ~
Angels are those who show you a way to get through to
the other side of an obstacle, not necessarily around it ~
Angels are those that speak from the heart, and yet do
not offend - food for thought is what is offered ~
Angels can track you down when you’re in the loneliest
place you know, and show you a way out ~
Angels give you all else you’ve prayed for when you thought
God’s answer was “No” ~
Angels heal you from the inside out when you think that
there’s no cure, even if it takes time ~
Angels show you bits of things that God is made of ~
Angels look into your soul in a way that never makes you
feel shame, and teach that you may look there yourself ~
Angels guide you to rest when you think you’re too weary
to get there on your own ~
Angels are in all the gardens by the roadside, and it’s
up to you to notice them…
