Aspects of Being
In a few shorts weeks from now, many of us will be engaged in the infamy of September 11th last year. The Media will flood with memories, and 'justice' will be called for once more. The self-righteous will voice their causes, on all sides. The myriad images of atrocity and destruction will play before our eyes again and again... Yet, there is a difference between being 'moved', and being swayed. Perhaps we should prepare ourselves at this time, beforehand, for it will undoubtedly be overwhelming. Make a choice now not to take part in a whole that does not represent 'wholeness'. Remember that bitterness does not make a circle complete, but keeps it asunder and prevents healing. You will know this truth in your own life. For this time must not be only about remembrance of the dead and their families, but a time to acknowledge, renew, and fortify the bonds that were forged when we were One that day. A year ago an illusion was shattered - that of supposed security and 'immunity', and it touched countless more than those who were lost. It has left its own repercussions in the form of a doubt and fear that is hard to name, yet pervasive, not only here, but around the world. And truly, it has happened a thousand fold in our Human history. Yet what can we focus on in lieu of the all-consuming plague of certain inundation by The Media... Much more that this one event has happened since then! On-going dialogues that were once seemingly obscure and insignificant have now come into the limelight. Legions of new lines of communication have opened up and been embraced. Ecumenical and Global links have been forged, and the voice of willing understanding and the telling of Truth have gained renewed strength and power. Groups that have in the past been leery, if not afraid of each other, now look to each other and within for the answers that have long been sought, though apart. They are no longer so... We are learning about each other. We are learning about ourselves. In light of all the atrocities our race has visited upon its fellow members, truly these aspects too have always been - the quiet yet pervasive revolution. Its power is by no means untapped, yet has hardly reached its potential! It has moved citizens and governments. It has wrought hard-won changes in our evolution of Conscience. And it is not a thing to be lightly dismissed! For it is our hope. In the time to come, hold a vigil in your heart, and do remember in your own way, for your spirit matters. Yet do not listen to the hatred, but to learn from it; also do not listen to the sorrow alone. Many enough will do so. We, the People of the World, must embrace and accept the learning through these lessons in order to grow - not to conquer. In Hatred and Fear, we do not stop anything at all, but only beget the same. This is the truth we need to search for inside the deepest parts of ourselves. Our journeys - our choices....our Hope. ~ It appears that we
often seek greater solace in being 'Right' than in looking for Truth...
