Aspects of Being
It occurs to me, with exponential frequency, how wondrous and divided we all seem to be at times, while we are indeed One. One species, one Race, parts of each other that we all need to learn about, on one planet (which we need to learn a whole LOT more about!), within this one galaxy. How wondrous that we are each part of All and yet uniquely different - person to person, ideals matched toe-to-toe against another's value system, how we move forward, and yet, with dismay, how we can tend to to move backwards in the stance of Fear, seeking security instead of wisdom. How we hunger for one as much as the other and yet, do not know that we must let go of the former in order to reach new heights, to gain the latter. One is an illusion....and one is a path. In this age of increasing awareness (as much as chagrin), we are literally bombarded with information of every conceivable sort (yet keep in mind this somewhat astounding statistic - that 50% of the World's population have never used a telephone*). We, here, learn daily about our differences and conflicts, which we have been "trained" to evaluate and judge - many times based only on 'sound-bytes' which we receive at assembly line speed and efficiency..... Naturally, it can all be entirely overwhelming - the rate of exchange and the digestion of it seeming exponential as well as it seems impossible. The peculiar (and noteworthy) thing is that we actually strive for more information. Why? Because we want to know! But why do we want to know? To be informed and aware. Yet, why do we wish to be informed and aware? What is the goal? Now, there's the real question...and the answer lies within each one of us. As we are indeed One, yet there may be as many reasons for this grasping of what we call Knowledge as there are souls upon the Earth. Knowledge, make no mistake, is a poor substitute for Wisdom. We're all on this journey together. Which do you seek? And for whom? ~Ignorance begins with
"I", and stays there.....
