Aspects of Being

It is my belief, or rather, it has been my experience to note that there are very few, if any, who may forgo the trials of this living and still reach a Higher Awareness. Does not a trial imply that Truth will inevitably be found? We seek "The Mystical" in increasing numbers, in countless ways. And in our culture, for Good or Ill, we expect things to be granted instantaneously. It can inspire us to strive harder....or it can forever be a disappointment when "Life happens"..... 

I know many seekers. I am one myself. Where would we be if we did not seek? The Earth was not made instantly....our Evolution did not come as such. Our knowledge and understanding, ever limited in the Great Scheme, yet ever growing, comes in the same way - through flashes of Insight that make themselves known in many moments, including those we do not in fact recognize immediately...... 

We long for those transcending moments when all seems clear and we may, with full confidence, continue with our endeavors. But what of those times when we feel their loss - is this not also part of our journey? We cannot see around the bend in the road, but we know we are indeed on that road. Has the trail indeed disappeared? "The Mystical" is with us in every moment...never so much taking us around obstacles, but through. And that is the Gift. 

~ Staying on the path does not guarantee that there will be no twists and turns..... 
 

Souvenir (To Remember) 
 

.....And I could feel myself 
gently, gently 
falling back in the World, 
fretting and wondering 
as I went down, down ~ 
but how could I return to that place, 
The Wondrous Home? 
And I cried out in pain 
though the descent hurt not ~
T'was the leaving of the Light..... 
So, trusting, 
like a frightened child reaches out; 
That the gift of the flame was inside me, 
remembering that I had touched The Source, 
or rather, 
that It had touched me.......
